Sports Cruiser Assisted
The radio room at Marine Rescue Central Coast received a VHF radio call for assistance around 2:30pm on Sunday afternoon. A family of four, onboard their 8.5m Mustang Sports Cruiser sought help to return to their mooring at Tascott. They said the boat was anchored just south of the Rip Bridge and was experiencing intermittent engine failures.
Twenty-five year veteran skipper, Al Morris and his crewman, Karl Leipa on rescue vessel Central Coast CC021, were tasked to assist. The Mustang was located and towed to the private mooring ramp at Tascott.
