Around 5.00pm another late radio call had skipper Anthony Porter and his crew on Central Coast 21 off to the south end of Paddy’s Channel to assist a an 8.4m Compass yacht. The vessel’s crew had radioed for help to get back to Booker Bay. They reported that the wind had died and that they were making no progress under motor power.
