Two Rescues on Father’s Day
About 10:00am on Father’s Day, Sunday 4 September 2016, Marine Rescue Central Coast received a marine radio call for assistance. Skipper Brian Warburton and his crew on marine rescue vessel, Central Coast 21, were tasked to assist the 5.5 runabout 1nm offshore between Second and Third Points. The vessel, with two men and a dog onboard, reported a mechanical failure. After the runabout was located, the two-hour tow back to Pretty Beach was completed safely.
Around 4:30pmI following an urgent radio call, Central Coast 21 was tasked to assist an 11.0m yacht with five people onboard stranded on the bar at Little Box Head. Rescue Vessel skipper, Bren Weston and his crew towed the yacht to navigable water off Lobster Beach.
