New years eve at Gosford
Marine rescue central coast was on duty again on new years eve ensuring that vessels anchored were not in the fireworks exclusion zone. Central Coast 21 and X Ray 21 were on duty
Part of our role on new years eve is for CC21 to tow the fireworks barge into place and stand by while the fireworks guys are on board to manage the display While XRay 21 managed the Exclusion Zone. After a bit of a task positioning the barge, the fireworks went off ” with a bang’ . Pics below.
After returning the barge to Gosford ramp we were called out to assist a 53′ Cruiser which had broken down at Point Frederick. The vessel was towed to a safe mooring at Saratoga.
Weary crew members were able to return to their families just before midnight after a hard days work.
