Boating Safety and Marine Rescue NSW

Volunteer Marine Rescue NSW (MRNSW) is the integrated marine rescue organisation that brings world-class emergency responce, boating safety and marine radio communications service to NSW waterways.

MRNSW volunteers undertake about 70% of all the marine rescues in NSW waters.

The most common calls for assistance are due to mechanical, electrical and fuel problems. A few calls however are more serious and life threatening, like capsize, sinking, fire and man-overboard.

Emergiencies are unexpected and it good to know the MRNSW volunteers are available to help should the need arise. Be sure to log-on every time you set out no matter how experienced you are or how short the trip.
