Motor Cruiser Assisted
Around 10:30am on Sunday morning 28 August 2016, Norm Smith and his crew, Robt. M. Smith, Peter Fischer and Peter Ashworth on marine rescue vessel, Central Coast 22, were tasked to assist a 8.0m Huntsman Fly-bridge Motor Cruiser south of Point Frederick.
The single person onboard Phoned Marine Rescue Central Coast for help. The owner said he was anchored due to an overheating motor and asked to be towed to his mooring adjacent to Gosford Sailing Club.
Central Coast 22 was diverted from a crew training programme and soon had the vessel back to its mooring. The boat crew received the grateful thanks of the cruiser’s owner.
